O G D was formed in 1989 by East Sussex businessman Geoff Robinson. Specialising in the Garage door and remote control openers replacement market we soon gained a reputation for high standards of work with reliable and prompt back up.
Two years later we bought out another local company Overhead Garage Doors to form one of the best companies in the area. The business has continued to expand to cover Sussex, Hants, Kent, Surrey and as far afield as Essex and North London. A considerable proportion of our customers are recommendations from our large base of highly satisfied clients, many of whom have become friends over the years. In 1999 a partnership was formed with local electrician and son in law STEVE EKINS who as a J I B approved tradesman had run his own very successful firm. This gave O G D a much wider choice to offer our customers as well as ensuring that all our work would be of an even higher standard. O G D specialise in the supply and installation of high quality products including the HORMANN range of garage doors, all with a 10-year manufacturers warrantee. HORMANN up and over doors in steel, GRP and timber as well as fully insulated vertical rising sectional doors. HORMANN remote control garage door openers will work on most existing doors and are without doubt the most advanced on the market and will give years of trouble free service. O G D are also recognised in the industry as the leading ROLLER DOOR people in the south. ROLLER DOORS come in a range of twelve MAINTENANCE FREE colours and with up to a FIFTEEN-year warrantee on the finish. They are ideal for those who want to fit a door and forget about it, as it requires virtually no maintenance. It is also a door that a disabled person can manage to open and shut in the case of a power cut un-aided.
ELECTRONIC GATES are a large part of the O G D's business and we have teamed up with a local blacksmith, a local joiner and a local builder to provide a comprehensive service in having your gates made to your design either from wrought iron, steel or timber and brick or timber posts. We can also have your drive re-laid if you so wish. To automate your gates O G D install either HYDRAULIC OR ELECTRO MECHANICAL gate actuators using either underground, gate mounted or sliding mechanism. We also install all kinds of entry control systems from a simple push button, a video entry phone, CCTV equipment and all types of access control. On the commercial side O G D supply and install Parking barriers to a wide range of clients. O G D also offer our clients a full range of electrical services from an extension power point to a full property rewire. We pride ourselves in using only quality fittings to ensure long and trouble free usage by the client.
